Welcome Back

September 24, 2014

Welcome Back!

When the faces came through the door on Monday morning, we were reminded that each of our students bring individual qualities to our school and that each of them offer something completely unique … and most importantly that all together we make a great team.

We never know who is going to walk through our school doors … the next Einstein, the next Dr. Seuss, the next Roy Vickers, the next U2, the next generations of doctors, lawyers, teachers, heavy equipment operators, computer technicians, fashion designers, chefs. This school is filled with creative talents and high academic aspirations.  Our hope for each and every student is that they work to the best of their abilities and take pride in themselves and in their community. Suwilaawks students are readers, writers, scientists, artists, dancers, weavers, singers … they are creative human beings and treasures to us and to their families.  Simply put, they are our future and we look forward to this years’ journey.

Buffet Style Lunch is served each day for students signed up for the program.  ALL students are welcome to join.  Lunches are $2.00 per day.  Send payment with this notice (cash preferred).  Check off the days your child will receive lunch.  If you are unable to pay at this time, you must still sign your child up for the program so that we can plan accordingly. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the healthy lunches.  Please drop in to chop veggies, prepare fruit and to have a coffee.Water is the healthiest choice. Reminder: Please do not bring fast food lunches to school.  Those extra special treats should be shared at home.  Feel free to pick your child up if you have a “treat” planned for them.  Thanks for supporting the school in promoting a healthy eating environment.
